The history of the team, from ’82 to 2025
In 2025, Bruno Reverberi will enter his 44th consecutive year of managerial activity, making VF Group Bardiani-CSF Faizanè the longest-standing active professional team in the world. The squad founded by Bruno Reverberi made its debut in cycling in 1982 under the name Termolan–Galli. Around that time, Davide Cassani turned professional with Reverberi’s team. The former Italian national team coach was the first in a long line of Italian talents launched into the pro ranks by Reverberi—a list that includes, among others, Petacchi, Guidi, Conti, Podenzana, Guerini, Zanini and, more recently, with the advent of the World Tour, Colbrelli, Modolo, Pozzovivo, Brambilla, Battaglin, Canola, Ciccone, Zana, and Pellizzari. Today, the team’s sporting and managerial operations are led by Bruno’s son, Roberto Reverberi, now in his 26th year at the helm.
The team has a historically close bond with the Giro d’Italia, having appeared in 42 out of 43 editions.

In 2013, Bardiani Valvole and CSF became title sponsors. The choice was guided by a clear, strongly defined vision: to invest in a team composed exclusively of Italian riders and to stand out as a hotbed of young talent.
Ever since its inception, Bardiani-CSF-Faizanè has been the youngest professional team in the world, year after year earning recognition and prestige from the public and all cycling stakeholders. The “Progetto Giovani” (Youth Project), innovative and distinctive in modern cycling, marks a seal on a 42-year history for Bruno Reverberi. In fact, the #GreenTeam project has its roots back in 1982, when Reverberi created his first team, Termolan–Galli, where Davide Cassani made his professional debut. The current Italian national team coach was just the first in a long list of Italian talents that includes, among others, Petacchi, Guidi, Conti, Guerini, Zanini, and in more recent times, Colbrelli, Modolo, Pozzovivo, Brambilla, Battaglin, Canola, Ciccone, Zana, and Pellizzari. Besides marking the team’s debut in professional cycling, 1982 also saw Reverberi’s first participation in the Giro d’Italia—an experience that continued uninterrupted year after year until 2009 (the only exception) and then resumed the following year, carrying on to this day.

Zana, the youngest Italian champion since 2005
“Pippo” Zana made his professional debut with Bardiani CSF Faizanè in 2020 and raced with the team until 2022, the year he was crowned Italian Road Champion in Alberobello. He is the youngest wearer of the tricolore jersey since 2005, having won the title at just 23 years of age.
A hotbed of young Italian talents

VF Group Bardiani CSF Faizanè’s youth project continues to grow and strengthen in the 2025 season. Ever since 2013, the team has been at the forefront of developing young Italian riders, embracing a “green line” philosophy. In 2025, the project will evolve to provide young riders with the right space and opportunities to develop, making the team even more competitive both now and in the future.
The new team setup will be crucial to continuing its role as a hotbed of young Italian talent in modern cycling, introducing a new concept of a Professional squad that includes as many as 12 Under23 riders—a statistic that confirms it as the youngest team in the world.
Giulio Pellizzari, the youngest participant in the 2024 Giro d’Italia, epitomized this philosophy. A talent with the potential to become the new Grand Tour contender that Italian cycling has been lacking.
The team’s history – Bruno Reverberi’s book
In a succession of memories—chapters of a life devoted to entrepreneurship, sport, and family—Bruno recounts the events that led him to manage the longest-standing team in the history of world cycling. All this is detailed in his autobiographical book I Miei Primi 80 Anni (“My First 80 Years”), published by Kriss and written by Angelo Costa.
