Giro d’Italia – Fiorelli Claims a Top10 in Valona
The final stage on Albanian soil brought a solid performance from VF Group Bardiani-CSF Faizanè: Filippo Fiorelli finished in the Top10 in the sprint in Valona, confirming his consistency in the hectic sprint stages at the start of the Giro. The team worked together to position him well for the final, securing a result that boosts morale ahead of the upcoming stages. Tomorrow marks the first rest day of the Giro, before the race resumes on Tuesday from Alberobello to Lecce.
Under 23 – Biagini Takes Second in Marina di Carrara
A strong performance also from our development squad, with Federico Biagini taking second place at the international U23 Gran Premio Industrie del Marmo. In a race animated by constant attacks, Biagini read the final dynamics well, staying with the lead group and launching a strong sprint that earned him the second step on the podium. Another encouraging sign from our youth sector, which continues to grow and compete at a high level.
Biagini’s words:
“It was a very nervous race, with a lot of attacks. We managed it well, and on the last climb, I stayed with the lead group. Savekin broke away on the descent and managed to hold on. I gave it everything in the sprint and finished second: a result that boosts our morale and confirms the good work of the team.”
