VF Group Bardiani-CSF Faizanè will take part in the Tour of Slovenia, scheduled from Wednesday, June 4 to Sunday, June 8, with a line-up of seven riders. The race, brought forward from its usual dates to avoid overlapping with other events on the calendar, will cover nearly 800 km from Piran to Novo Mesto. The first three stages are expected to suit the sprinters, while the fourth stage, finishing with a climb to Golte (13.8 km at 7.4%), is likely to be decisive.

The seven riders selected for the Tour of Slovenia are led by Luca Colnaghi, the team’s key sprinter, and Treviso native Alex Tolio, who has shown strong form in recent races, finishing 10th in the queen stage of the Tour of Hungary and 3rd at the GP Santa Rita. Completing the line-up are five young talents: Matteo Scalco, Vicente Rojas, Martin Herreño, Luca Paletti, and Edward Cruz. Sports director Alessandro Donati will lead the team from the team car.

The race will be broadcast live on Eurosport 2: the first stage will air from 13:30 to 16:00, while the following stages will be shown from 13:00. The final stage, scheduled for Sunday, June 8, will be broadcast earlier than usual, starting at 11:15.
