COMUNICATO STAMPA

The VF Group Bardiani-CSF Faizanè claimed an important result at the Giro della Toscana, thanks to the excellent performance of Alessandro Pinarello, who finished fourth at the finish line in Pontedera, the first Italian in the standings.
It was a true display of character from the young rider from Treviso, making his return to competition after more than three months away due to a fractured scaphoid suffered at the Giro d’Italia. Pinarello managed the race perfectly, staying with the strongest riders on the demanding slopes of Monte Serra and fighting all the way to the finish for a prestigious placing.
Alessandro Pinarello: “I’m very happy with this comeback. After three and a half months away from racing, it wasn’t guaranteed that I’d be able to keep up with the best. Today I had really good sensations, and this fourth place gives me confidence for the rest of the season. I want to thank the team, who have always been close to me during my recovery: this result is an important new starting point.”
