The first race of the season comes to a close for VF Group Bardiani-CSF Faizanè. At the Clàssica Comunitat Valenciana, a 184 km race from Valencia to La Nucìa, the team secured its first Top 10 of the season with young Venetian rider Alessandro Pinarello. The athlete from Conegliano finished the race in the second chasing group of top contenders, placing eighth. Today’s winner was Swiss rider Marc Hirschi.

His words: “I am satisfied with my performance. The group kept an incredibly high pace, especially on the Coll de Rates. My teammates and I crested the climb together in the leading positions. Then the race became chaotic, and I tried everything I could to catch up with the leaders. I’m happy with my race and will aim for another strong result in the Mallorca races.”  

The team will now compete in the Challenge Mallorca, a series of five races on the calendar, starting on January 29th and concluding on February 2nd.
