In this first race on the island of Mallorca, Martin Marcellusi, rider of VF Group Bardiani-CSF Faizanè, played a key role in the central and final phases of the race. He closed down several attack attempts and found himself in the breakaway multiple times, undoubtedly the most combative rider of the day for the Italian team.

Marcellusi contested the sprint of the chasing group, finishing in 18th position.
Tomorrow, the second race of this five-day Mallorca event, the Trofeo Ses Salines, will take place and will be broadcast live on Eurosport 2 and streamed on Discovery Plus.
