For VF Group Bardiani-CSF Faizanè, the second stage of the Volta Valenciana was marked by a long-range attack attempt from the Chilean rider Vicente Rojas, born in 2002. He showed determination in joining the day’s breakaway, which consisted of five riders. The attackers’ adventure came to an end 30 km from the finish line, just before the start of the final climbs. Notably, Tolio suffered a crash but did not sustain serious injuries and will therefore take the start in tomorrow’s stage.

The third stage, from Algemesí to Alpuente, covers 180.9 kilometers and, although it does not feature a summit finish, will still be a challenging one. It is a stage not to be underestimated, as it could be difficult to control and may offer interesting tactical opportunities, especially since the following days do not seem to provide many chances to make a difference in the general classification.
