The VF Group Bardiani-CSF Faizanè kicked off the first stage of the UAE Tour by sending two of its riders into the breakaway: Federico Biagini and Manuele Tarozzi. The duo attacked from the very first kilometers, gaining a maximum advantage of three minutes. At 30 km from the finish, Manuele Tarozzi launched a solo attack, winning the second intermediate sprint. This earned him the lead in the intermediate sprints classification and the black jersey. His breakaway effort came to an end 11 km from the finish when he was caught by the main group.

In the long final sprint, Jonathan Milan took the victory, while Alessandro Pinarello finished in 15th place.

Tomorrow, a 12.2 km individual time trial is scheduled, which will have a significant impact on the general classification.

The race will be broadcast live on Eurosport 2 from 13:50, while the live stream will start at 13:00 on Discovery+.
