In the queen stage of the Gran Camiño, the young riders of VF Group Bardiani-CSF Faizanè stood out. Matteo Scalco, the leader of the climbers’ classification Ander Okamika (Burgos Burpellet BH), and six other riders launched an attack in the central phases of the race. The Vicentino claimed the KOM at Alto Fonte da Saúde ahead of Okamika himself.

On the final climbs, Luca Paletti was the last to give way to the top riders. The Emilian finished this penultimate stage in 16th place, securing his 17th position in the general classification, which will only be confirmed after tomorrow’s final stage. The route is filled with rolling terrain but is not expected to bring further surprises in terms of the overall standings.

Paletti is also third in the young riders’ classification, behind Soenens and Kulset.
