In the final stage of the Gran Camiño, the riders of VF Group Bardiani-CSF Faizanè stood out once again, with Martin Marcellusi leading a fiery start. Several athletes attempted to break away from the peloton, aiming to form a successful escape. The decisive move came after 35 km, when nine riders managed to pull clear, quickly building a two-minute advantage over the main group, controlled by the men of the yellow jersey.

Once the breakaway was reeled in, the peloton remained compact for the final 12 kilometers, featuring the last three gravel sectors. At the end of the second sector, Luca Paletti launched a solo attack, entering the final stretch of white roads in the lead. However, the peloton swiftly closed the gap. In the finale, Paletti crossed the line in 22nd place for the stage, securing 15th position in the overall standings.
