VF Group Bardiani CSF Faizanè expresses its support and solidarity with Luca Colnaghi, who was the victim of a serious assault while returning home after a training session. Our athlete, along with his brother Andrea, was first threatened and pushed by an individual on a motorcycle and later assaulted in a second incident, which resulted in serious physical consequences.

Colnaghi suffered a dislocated shoulder and a microfracture to his ribs, with a prognosis of 10 days of rest. Despite this, his fighting spirit drives him to honor his sporting commitments in Belgium next weekend at the GP Criquielion and GP Monseré, races he is determined to participate in.

His words: “I am truly saddened and hope no one else has to go through a similar experience. I believe in justice and hope the authorities do their duty.”

The team strongly condemns all acts of violence and, together with ACCPI and the legal team from Zerosbatti, will closely follow the progress of the investigations to ensure justice is served. The safety of athletes must be a priority, and we hope that such incidents do not happen again.
