In the second stage of the “Corsa dei Due Mari,” from Camaiore to Follonica, Faenza-born Manuele Tarozzi was one of the absolute protagonists. Right from the start, the VF Group Bardiani CSF Faizané rider launched himself into a solo breakaway, covering an impressive 150 km at the front. Currently, Tarozzi is the second most prolific breakaway rider in the world, with a total of 721 km spent in the lead.
In the final sprint, Veronese rider Enrico Zanoncello secured a top 10 finish, crossing the line in tenth place in Follonica.
Tomorrow, the third stage of the Tirreno-Adriatico is scheduled, from Follonica to Colfiorito: a demanding 239 km, making it the longest stage of this edition of the “Corsa dei Due Mari.” The race will be broadcast live on Eurosport 2 from 1:05 PM.
