A great performance by VF Group Bardiani-CSF Faizanè in the third stage of the Tirreno-Adriatico. The 239 km Follonica-Colfiorito stage saw impeccable teamwork, with the young Tuscan Conforti in a breakaway alongside Davide Bais. The 2004-born Conforti secured the GPM points on the Lume Spento climb, helping his teammate Tarozzi, who then tackled the false-flat sprint just before the finish and won it. Manuele Tarozzi thus took the green jersey in the mountain classification with a wide margin.

His words: “After yesterday’s stage, I was determined to try again. Today, on the final GPM, I followed Ben Healy and managed to break away from him a kilometer from the summit. Conforti was also crucial, taking some points off Bais. It’s a result that gives us confidence, and I hope to keep this prestigious jersey for as long as possible in the coming days. It’s an important goal, especially for us Italians.”

Also worth noting is the impressive result of Filippo Fiorelli, who finished in seventh place in the sprint, capping off a great collective performance by VF Group Bardiani-CSF Faizanè.
