Great result for the Tuscan Filippo Magli, who claimed fifth place in the sprint at the Cholet Agglo Tour, a 200 km race held entirely under the rain. The winning breakaway trio, consisting of Thomas, Kubis, and Larsen, crossed the finish line with a ten-second advantage over the peloton, which was sprinted to the line by Stokbro. Filippo Magli, riding for VF Group Bardiani-CSF Faizanè, was the first Italian to finish in the finishing order.

Unfortunately, Enrico Zanoncello and Edward Cruz fell due to the slippery road surface just before entering the final circuit.

These were Filippo Magli’s words: “The rain definitely had a big impact on the race, especially regarding the crashes. It wasn’t easy to manage; I lost a bit of ground, but I managed to catch up in the final. The team worked really well, and we were always present at the front. My condition is improving, especially after the injury in January when I broke my ribs. I hope to continue on this path.”
