VF GROUP BARDIANI-CSF FAIZANÈ: 4TH ALESSANDRO PINARELLO AT THE COPPI E BARTALI.

COMUNICATO STAMPA

Il 27 Mar, 2025
The Veneto rider narrowly misses the podium in the third stage and climbs to eighth place in the general classification, 11 seconds behind the new leader Magnus Sheffield.

Alessandro Pinarello was the protagonist of a great performance in the third stage of the Coppi e Bartali, from Riccione to Cesena, covering 142 km. The Veneto rider, born in 2003 and racing for VF Group Bardiani-CSF Faizanè, resisted the continuous attacks, staying in the slipstream of the best riders and fighting for second place in a sprint with Simone Velasco (3rd) and Magnus Sheffield (2nd), behind Jay Vine, the solo winner. Thanks to this excellent performance, the rider from Treviso moved up to eighth place in the general classification, 11 seconds behind the new leader Magnus Sheffield.

Here are his words: “It was a very tough race, right from the start of the circuit that had to be repeated three times. On the second lap, we significantly increased the pace. In the final lap, both uphill and downhill, there was a big selection, with a technical course made even more difficult by the rain. I kept a good position for the sprint, but in the end, Velasco passed me. I’m still satisfied with my performance and motivated for the upcoming stages, where I’ll try to maintain my position in the general classification and improve further.”
