In the fourth stage of the Coppi e Bartali, starting and finishing in Brisighella, VF Group Bardiani-CSF Faizanè was in the spotlight thanks to Martin Marcellusi. The Roman rider was in the breakaway from the very beginning of the race, covering 120 km on the attack.

The final of the race saw the battle for the general classification heat up, with Ben Tulett triumphing solo. Unfortunately, Alessandro Pinarello had bad luck: the Venetian, fighting for a strong result, crashed just 300 meters from the finish line and finished the stage in 18th place.

In the general classification, Pinarello is now in 11th place, 41 seconds behind the new leader, Ben Tulett.
