Intense race weekend for VF Group Bardiani-CSF Faizanè. On Saturday, April 12th, the Giro della Città di Reggio Calabria will kick off, serving as the third round of the Coppa delle Regioni, following the Trofeo Laigueglia and Milano-Torino. The course will cover 183.3 kilometers and will be very similar to the one used two years ago. However, the start will be in Bova rather than Riace, while the finish line will still be located on Reggio Calabria’s Lungomare Falcomatà.

Selected for this race are several fast riders such as Luca Colnaghi, Filippo Fiorelli, Enrico Zanoncello, and Filippo Magli. Also lining up are Matteo Scalco and Luca Paletti, who already made their mark at the Trofeo Piva. Rounding out the line-up is Martin Marcellusi.

On Sunday the 13th, it’s the turn of the Under-23 riders with the Trofeo Città di San Vendemiano. The route will follow tradition, with the first 100 kilometers being flat, followed by five laps of a circuit featuring the climbs of Formeniga and the Muro di Ca’ del Poggio. The five young riders taking part will be: Federico Biagini, Filippo Turconi (winner of last Sunday’s Trofeo Piva), Santiago Ferraro, Lorenzo Conforti, Martin Herreño, and local favorite Filippo Cettolin.
