Filippo Turconi wins the 39th Giro del Medio Brenta, claiming his second victory of the season after his success at the Trofeo Piva. The young rider from Varese, born in 2005 and racing for VF Group Bardiani-CSF Faizanè, outsprinted a select group of seven riders at the finish line in Gallio.

“Even though it was my first time doing this race, I had seen that it was quite tough, and I liked it. As always, when you come to race, you come to try and win,” said Turconi after the finish. “Right from the start I felt my legs were good. Then, when we started pushing on the long climb, I realized my form was there. I dedicate this victory to the whole team, whom I thank for their help today and in the other races as well, to the Reverberi family, to our sponsors, and to my own family,” concluded Turconi, who continues to stand out this season for the Italian team, with two victories, six podium finishes, and fifteen Top 10 results so far.
