In the fourth stage of the Tour of Magnificent Qinghai, once again decided by a sprint finish, Enrico Zanoncello delivered the first podium of the 2025 edition for VF Group Bardiani-CSF Faizanè.

The rider from Verona crossed the line in third place after a tightly contested sprint, in which he managed to recover several positions, finishing as the best Italian of the day. Qilian is a familiar finish for him—he claimed a stage win here back in 2023.

These were his words after the stage:
“I had high expectations for today. Coming back to Qilian, a finish that has already given me great memories, gave me extra motivation. Unfortunately, I started the sprint from too far back and had to push hard to move up, but I couldn’t quite catch the first two. The start of the race wasn’t easy, and yesterday I worked for Colnaghi, but today I felt good again. I hope I can make the most of the remaining stages.”
