The Tuscan rider, protagonist of the day's long breakaway, moves up to seventh in the standings thanks to the time bonuses gained at the intermediate sprints.

Filippo Magli, rider of VF Group Bardiani-CSF Faizanè, was the standout performer of the second stage of the Tour de Wallonie, from Huy to Sambreville. The Tuscan cyclist made his mark with a long breakaway that began just 30 km into the race, staying out front for 120 km.

During the break, Magli claimed two second-place finishes in the intermediate sprints at Jemeppe-sur-Sambre. Thanks to the 4 seconds of time bonuses earned in these sprints, he gained valuable seconds that allowed him to climb up to seventh place in the overall standings.
