After taking eighth place yesterday in the sprint finish of the opening stage of the Tour du Poitou Charentes, Luca Colnaghi confirmed himself among the best again today. In the second stage from Jonzac to Gond Pontouvre (175.5 km), won by French national champion Dorian Godon (Decathlon AG2R) ahead of Arnaud Démare and Benjamin Thomas, the VF Group Bardiani-CSF Faizanè rider once again crossed the line in eighth place.

Also improving was his teammate Enrico Zanoncello, who found room in the final sprint and finished ninth, right behind Colnaghi. For the two Italians, a double top-10 result that highlights the team’s consistency in the bunch sprints. Tomorrow features the individual time trial, a key stage for the general classification.
