VF GROUP BARDIANI-CSF FAIZANÈ: BRETAGNE CLASSIC AND GP DE PLOUAY, THE LINEUPS.

COMUNICATO STAMPA

Il 30 Aug, 2025
Sunday, August 31: two races on the same day, the Bretagne Classic and the Grand Prix de Plouay, with 12 riders selected.

All set for tomorrow’s double appointment, where VF Group Bardiani-CSF Faizanè will line up 12 riders in the two races in Plouay. The day kicks off with the Bretagne Classic, a World Tour race, featuring a demanding 262-kilometer route that leaves no room to catch a breath. While there are no real mountains, the relentless sequence of short, punchy climbs adds up to an elevation gain of nearly 4,700 meters.

Selected for this race are some of the riders who also competed in the Tour Poitou-Charentes: Luca Colnaghi, Enrico Zanoncello, Federico Biagini, and Filippo Fiorelli, who finished fifth here in 2022. Completing the lineup are Alessio Martinelli, Vicente Rojas, and Tuscan rider Filippo Magli. Directing the team from the car will be sports directors Roberto Reverberi and Alessandro Donati.

On the same day, the 1.2 category race, the Grand Prix de Plouay, will also take place on Sunday, August 31, held alongside the Bretagne Classic CIC, starting at 11:15 a.m. The riders will take on a 187.2-kilometer course entirely on the Plouay circuit — a loop of 11.8 kilometers to be covered 16 times. Five riders will start: Lorenzo Conforti, Luca Paletti, Filippo Turconi, Matteo Scalco, and Alessandro Pinarello, making his return to racing after a scaphoid fracture suffered at the Giro d’Italia. Directing the team from the car will be sports director Mirko Rossato.

Live coverage of the Bretagne Classic will be available on Discovery Plus starting from 3:00 p.m.
