VF Group Bardiani-CSF Faizanè was a key protagonist of the Abruzzo classic, with a collective effort that left its mark from the early stages and concluded the day with a prestigious result.

After an initial phase of study, Martin Marcellusi was among the most active riders, joining the first breakaway attempt that animated the race. In the middle part of the race, when a group of sixteen riders tried to extend their lead, VF Group Bardiani-CSF Faizanè came together in pursuit, driving the action in the peloton and reeling the group back in, neutralizing the move with 100 kilometers to go. It was a valuable effort that kept the race open.

In the final part, the peloton was reduced, and the race came down to a sprint among a select group, where Filippo Magli positioned himself well, taking an excellent seventh place and finishing as the best Italian.
