Excellent performance by Matteo Scalco at the Trofeo Tessile e Moda, held today on the roads of Piedmont, the day after the Giro di Lombardia.

The rider of VF Group Bardiani-CSF Faizanè finished in the Top 10, securing 10th place overall, and was also recognized as the best Italian Under-25 rider of the race.

In a selective day, with the final climb to the Santuario di Oropa deciding the outcome, Scalco showed strength and brilliance, staying with the leaders until the last kilometer. The race, serving as the inaugural event of the Coppa Italia delle Regioni, was ultimately dominated by UAE Emirates XRG, who exploited their numerical superiority to take the win.

 

Behind them, Scalco secured a Top 10 finish, confirming his excellent form and the consistent progress he has shown in this late-season phase.

A solid performance was also delivered by young Colombian Martín Herreño, who crossed the line in 14th place, riding a careful and steady race.
