During the 2021 Italian Elite Championships, where he finished 15th after a day spent attacking alongside his former teammate Samuele Zoccarato, Tarozzi showcased impressive skills that had already been evident in his earlier years. A standout in prestigious youth races such as the U23 Giro d’Italia and the U23 Italian Championships, he accumulated six victories in the category, hinting at an imminent breakthrough to the next level.
Unfortunately, the 2022 season was heavily impacted by an injury early in the year, forcing him to stay away from racing for an extended period. However, 2023 proved to be an extraordinary year for the rider from Faenza. He claimed the climbers’ classification at the Vuelta a San Juan and won the seventh stage of the Tour du Rwanda on Mont Kigali. Tarozzi showed a penchant for long-range attacks, frequently joining breakaways, even in the most challenging stages in terms of elevation.
In 2024, Tarozzi became the most successful rider on his team, securing two significant victories: the sixth stage of the Tour de Langkawi in Malaysia and the third stage of the Tour of Qinghai Lake, where he also finished third in the general classification. At the Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana, he played a crucial role in Tonelli’s overall victory and contributed to the team’s 1-2 finish in the first stage, which concluded in Castellón.
