BARDIANI CSF FAIZANÈ: FILIPPO ZANA AGAIN ON THE PODIUM OF THE TOUR DE L’AVENIR. 3rd PLACE IN TODAY STAGE AND THIRD POSITION IN GC.

It's time for big climbs at the Tour de l'Avenir. The young rider of Bardiani CSF Faizanè, competing with the Italian national team, is still one of the great protagonists. Another prestigious stage podium that allows him to reach the podium in the general classification. Tomorrow the last stage with other climbs to face.

Filippo Zana is third in stage at the Tour de L’Avenir and currently on the podium of the general classification, just one stage from the end. In a short but demanding stage, the group got off to a strong start. At the end of Col del Chaussy, the first of today’s two climbs, the group is reduced to just 16 riders including the young athlete born in 1999 and riding with the Bardiani CSF Faizanè team.

On the second ascent of the day, at the Croix de Fer, the top 4 of the general classification remain to battle for the final victory, further increasing their advantage over the rest of the group: the Norwegian Tobias H. Johanessen, the Spaniard Carlos Rodriguez, the Dutch Gijs Leemreize and Filippo Zana, the best in the general classification of the Italian team.

Once again the Norwegian Johanessen comes out and proves to be the stronger in this moment, but Filippo Zana manages to overtake the Dutch rider thus reaching the virtual third step of the podium.

Tomorrow the ninth and final stage of the Tour de l’Avenir, 150km to go and other kilometers of difference altitude in which Filippo Zana will be able to defend the podium and try to overtake the Norwegian athlete and the Spanish rider.
