BARDIANI CSF FAIZANÈ: THE OFFICIAL LINE-UP FOR MILANO-SANREMO
Saturday 19 March Bardiani CSF Faizanè will be at the start of one of the 5 classic monuments of international cycling, the Milano-Sanremo. Here the 7 selected for one of the most important events of the season. For Sacha Modolo it will be the participation n.10. For 3 of his teammates it will be the first Milan-Sanremo of their career.
Saturday 19th of March, Bardiani CSF Faizanè will be at the start of the Milano-Sanremo, one of the 5 monuments of international cycling and one of the most important events of the #GreenTeam season. Sports directors Roberto Reverberi and Alessandro Donati have selected the 7 riders who will face competition. At the start a mix of experience and youth, from Sacha Modolo in his participation n.10th to the two class ’99, Filippo Zana and Luca Rastelli, at the start and who will balance the needs to hit the breakaway and men for the final race.
LINE-UP IN DETAIL.
Bardiani CSF Faizanè will be at the start of the spring classic with an ambitious line-up, for the breakaway in the first part of the race, and for an important placement in the second part. Sacha Modolo, a profound connoisseur of the Milano-Sanremo, the classic monument in which he has participated several times. The 2022 edition will be the participation n.10 in his career. A 4th place in his first participation in 2010, but also an 8th in 2014 and a 14th in 2018.
Third participation instead for Filippo Fiorelli who in 2021 increased his performance by closing just 29 ” from the winner, and that this ‘year if he manages to keep the wheels of the best he can try to assert his quick cue for a prestigious placement. Second participation for Filippo Zana, who in a Milano-Sanremo in which even the most skilled uphill riders find more and more space could prove his skills. Therefore, the breakawya man, Alessandro Tonelli, could not be missing, in his sixth participation and in the attack in the last three editions (2019, 2020 and 2021).
There will also be space for some debuts at the Milan-Sanremo. First edition for the neo-pro Luca Rastelli, who in 2022 in his first year as a professional has already been able to tread important stages, as in the #GreenTeam philosophy, making World Tour experiences, the UAE Tour and the Tirreno-Adriatico. In his fourth season with the Bardiani CSF Faizanè, but a rookie at the Milano-Sanremo, he will also be the climber born in 1997 Luca Covili. Finally, Davide Gabburo completes the line-up, who after his debut in the Giro in 2021, is now preparing to experience his first Milano-Sanremo of his career.
