Bardiani CSF Faizanè returns to success in Italy, the first of this season, after victories abroad and numerous podiums and near-wins in Italy, as in the Giro D’Italia. A great team effort started right from the first fraction where Filippo Zana won the first decisive seconds for the classification, taking the second stage place. The third and fourth fractions were therefore anything but trivial, with frontal attacks from direct opponents to which Filippo Zana responded in the first person, with grit, leg and determination.
Filippo Zana closed each stage as a protagonist, with two second places, a top5 and a top10 stage.

“To win in Italy it’s amazing, last year I had won abroad, but doing it in Italy finally has a unique flavor for me and for the team. This victory is mine as much as all my teammates, they have been amazing all these days, always in front of the bunch from the first to the last stage. In our strategy the stage with finish-line on Cima Grappa was decisive and so in part it was we won the jersey and made a selection. Personally I did not expect instead the stage would be so demanding and fought yesterday, but I managed to respond well to all the attacks. I came out very well from the Giro d’Italia and I made the most of my excellent condition. Now my next appointment, before finally detaching a bit, is the Italian championship. It does not suit my characteristics, but we know that often the Italian has an unpredictable development and there the reasons are always at the top for everyone.”
