GREEN PROJECT BARDIANI-CSF FAIZANÈ: 260KM IN A BREAKAWAY AT MILANO-SANREMO, ALESSANDRO TONELLI AND SAMUELE ZOCCARATO THE PROTAGONISTS OF THE CLASSICISSIMA.

Fourth year in a row in a breakaway for Alessandro Tonelli, the Green Project Bardiani-CSF Faizanè veteran on the attack with Samuele Zoccarato.

An unprecedented route for this edition of Milano Sanremo with the start in Abbiategrasso. An institution in this race by now is Alessandro Tonelli, who has accustomed us for four consecutive editions to the breakaway just a few kilometres from the start. With him on the attack this time was team-mate Samuele Zoccarato, along with seven other attackers, covering a good 260 km in the breakaway. Samuele Zoccarato made over 400km in the breakaway in the space of four days, taking into account the last stage of the Tirreno Adriatico and today’s race.

 

The two riders of the #greenteam will be caught at the foot of the Cipressa with the other seven riders. In the finale Filippo Magli maintained the pace of the group of the best, breaking away only on the Poggio where there was a clash between the big guys. Mathieu Van Der Poel won the Classicissima. Henok Mulubrhan, the team captain for this edition of the Milano-Sanremo, was involved in a crash without any serious injuries, the African Continental Champion lost contact with the main group because of this.

 

The races continue in Italy for the #greenteam, tomorrow the Per Sempre Alfredo and the GP Slovenian Istria with the youngsters of the team led by Mirko Rossato. From Tuesday 21 to Saturday 25 March the Coppi e Bartali.
