The first stage of the Belgrade Banjaluka begins with the 2nd place of Lorenzo Conforti, who in the final sprint on the treacherous route of Bijeljina stubbornly took advantage of the move of the leading team to reach the first places in the sprint for the podium. Conforti is now leader of the young classification. The stage winner is Rudik Bartosz of the Voster ATS team.
The declarations of the young Under23 athlete: “ It was a controlled race, at the beginning of the race the breakaway of 4 riders went away, in the final we did these 4 laps of the circuit with many difficult curves, it was important for us to keep the first positions because the finish was very tricky and technical with a sharp bend and an S-bend 300m from the finish, I had to tackle the sprint for Zanoncello but I found myself in an excellent position to do the sprints I tried, I hooked up to the opposing team’s train and I made the sprint, I’m happy with the podium, now let’s focus on the next stages“.
