GREEN PROJECT BARDIANI-CSF FAIZANÈ: HENOK MULUBRHAN 2ND IN SECOND STAGE OF TOUR DU RWANDA. AT UAE TOUR AN EARLY CRASH DECIDES THE RACE.

Another podium finish for the Eritrean rider in two days at the Tour du Rwanda, awarded the green jersey as the best African rider in the competition, he is now 2nd in the general classification.

The second eventful stage from Kigali to Gisagara ended with a final sprint in which Henok Mulubrhan held on to the lead and finished in 2nd place. The African continental champion is now second overall. Henok was also awarded best African rider in the competition at the end of the race. Good performance also from Filippo Fiorelli, 17th.

UAE TOUR

 

First stage of the UAE Tour, from Al Dhafra Castle to Al Mifra, 151 km. The stage was characterized by wind and a big crash at the beginning that decided the race and split the peloton into several parts. Green Project Bardiani-CSF Faizanè riders were unlucky and forced to chase the leading group throughout the race.

The first of the #greenteam in the second best chasing group was Enrico Zanoncello, the young rider from Verona finished 25th. Tim Merlier (Soudal Quick-Step) wins in a photo finish ahead of Caleb Ewan (Lotto Dstny).

Tomorrow the team time trial will take place with start and finish at Khalifa Port, live streaming and TV on Eurosport 1 and GCN+ from 11:50.
