GREEN PROJECT BARDIANI-CSF FAIZANÈ: THE FIRST TRAINING CAMP OF THE NEW SEASON, STARTING FROM 5TH TO 18TH OF DECEMBER.

The 2023 season is just around the corner and from Monday, December 5, to Sunday, December 18, the 26 riders of the #GreenProject will head to winter training camp.

Green Project Bardiani-CSF Faizanè heats up the engines, the winter training camp is the best opportunity to get back in shape after a break. The riders will spend two weeks in an intense training program. Tenuta il Cicalino, in Tuscany, will host the new training camp.

The team’s athletic trainer, Borja Martìnez: “To prepare the athletes for the new season, especially with the races coming up in early 2023, we have decided to set up a two-week training camp to increase the training volume and test the athletes in fresh and fatigued conditions. In addition, this period will help us as a team to better understand the needs of each athlete from different perspectives: Equipment, nutrition, physiology, and psychology. For new athletes, this could be the first approach to the needs and attitudes expected in professional cycling. From nutritional challenges to mechanical issues, bonding with other team members is also very important. The training camp is the perfect time to get to know each other. This period would also help the staff members develop plans and logistics to improve and optimize during the season.”

The Medical staff headed by Maurizio Vicini and Andrea Giorgi will do a body composition assessment with plicometry and BIVA technique. Anaerobic capacity under resting and fatigue conditions will be assessed. A study on sleep and functional recovery of athletes will also be conducted.

Massage therapists will be trained to use WEPERE’s new electromedical equipment to help athletes recover. In addition, Postural Point will make custom orthotics for each rider. The management of the team during the training will be in the hands of the 4 sports directors: Roberto Reverberi, Mirko Rossato, Luca Amoriello and Alessandro Donati. The training camp will also be an important opportunity for team building, especially for the youngest members of the team.

The first images, photos and videos of the new season will be taken in collaboration with Sprint Cycling.
