Pozzovivo rises to eighth place in the general classification, with a delay of 26'' behind Jan Christen.
Domenico Pozzovivo clinches sixth place in the second stage of the Giro d’Abruzzo. The Italian rider stayed with the leaders, contending for a podium spot in the small group sprint. The stage winner is Jan Christen, who attacked a few kilometers from the finish line, securing a solo victory.
Thanks to today’s result, Pozzovivo moves up to eighth position in the GC, trailing Jan Christen from UAE Team Emirates by 26”. Also notable today is the Brescian rider Alessandro Tonelli, who, after being at the forefront throughout the race, launched a solo attack 25km from the finish.
Regarding the points classification, Enrico Zanoncello, winner of the first stage, currently occupies the third position.
