VF GROUP BARDIANI-CSF FAIZANÈ: TOUR OF SLOVENIA, THE LINE UP.
The 7 athletes selected for the Tour of Slovenia, a lineup that mirrors that of the Giro d'Italia. Pozzovivo and Pellizzari will also start.
The 2024 Tour of Slovenia is now a well-established event on the international calendar. The short stage race will unfold over five days of racing, from Wednesday 12 to Sunday 16 June, as a category 2.Pro race. All the stages feature an undulating route, with the queen stage being the fourth with the uphill finish at Krvavec.
The VF Group Bardiani-CSF Faizanè team has selected a strong team of seven riders for the Tour of Slovenia. The team includes climbers Giulio Pellizzari, Domenico Pozzovivo, and Luca Covili, who will be aiming for a high overall finish.All three riders are coming off the Giro d’Italia, where they gained valuable racing experience.
The team also includes Filippo Fiorelli, who had a strong Giro d’Italia, wearing the ciclamino jersey and winning the Intergiro classification. He will be joined by another fast rider, Martin Marcellusi. The team is rounded out by veteran Alessandro Tonelli and 20-year-old Alex Tolio. The team will be directed by sports directors Alessandro Donati and Luca Amoriello.
