VF GROUP BARDIANI-CSF FAIZANÈ: TOUR OF THE ALPS. FIFTH STAGE. PELLIZZARI FINISHES ELEVENTH IN LEVICO TERME. EIGHTH IN THE FINAL CLASSIFICATION.

The Marche rider leading the attack on the penultimate climb alongside Hugh Carthy and Geraint Thomas.

Giulio Pellizzari has been among the absolute protagonists of this Tour of the Alps. The twenty-year-old from Marche became the protagonist of the courageous attack on the slopes of the Mochena climb alongside Hugh Carthy and Geraint Thomas. The group was caught by the peloton led by the men of Lidl-Trek. Despite the efforts expended, the twenty-year-old from VF Group Bardiani-CSF Faizanè kept up with the pace of the leading men, narrowly missing out on the Top 10 in the sprint.

Pellizzari finishes this last stage in eleventh place and secures eighth position in the general classification. It’s also worth noting his third place in the young classification.
