BARDIANI CSF FAIZANÈ: 7th PLACE OF GIOVANNI CARBONI IN SLOVENIA, 9th PLACE OF FILIPPO FIORELLI IN BELGIUM
A great Saturday for Bardiani CSF Faizanè with Giovanni Carboni 7th in the queen stage of the Tour of Slovenia and firmly in the top 10 in a very high level general classification. 9th place for Filippo Fiorelli on the Belgium Tour, after the great breakaway action of Samuele Zoccarato.
Saturday of great cycling between Slovenia and Belgium with Bardiani CSF Faizanè really great protagonist in high level competitions.
TOUR OF SLOVENIA.
Giovanni Carboni confirms the excellent moment by conquering the third consecutive stage top 10, on the most difficult day with the queen stage of the Tour of Slovenia. With today’s 7th place, in an order of arrival that has nothing to envy to that of a great Giro, the athlete from the Marche is firmly confirmed in the top 10 of the general classification (now 8th).
With many breakaways and an excellent presence in the challenging stage finals, one stage from the end the balance of Bardiani CSF Faizanè at the Tour of Slovenia is undoubtedly positive.
BALOISE BELGIUM TOUR.
Fourth stage also at the Baloise Belgium Tour, with Samuele Zoccarato good at joining the escape of the 6 riders of the day and then resisting when only 3 athletes remain in the attack with the aim of playing for the stage. In the final kilometers, the group accelerates considerably with the aim of thinning out and eliminating the main sprinters. After 145 km then the Samuele Zoccarato breakaway ends, less than 10km from the final finish line, and immediately Filippo Fiorelli very good at remaining in the leading group despite the tough selection imposed by the Deucenick Quick Step team, thus playing the final stage with the 9th place in the short sprint won by Caleb Ewan on Bryan Coquard.
With today’s two results, the team’s seasonal top10 rises to 31, adding to the 10 podiums and 5 successes already collected, testifying to a great first half of the season that saw the #GreenTeam always protagonist in the race finals.
