BARDIANI CSF FAIZANÈ: 8TH PLACE IN THE FINAL GENERAL CLASSIFICATION OF TOUR OF SLOVENIA FOR GIOVANNI CARBONI.
Final day at the Tour of Slovenia and the Baloise Belgium Tour, both stages close at the sprint. Giovanni Carboni by virtue of his excellent performances in the toughest stages, with 3 top 10 stages, conquers the 8th place in the GC at the Tour of Slovenia.
Double activity this weekend for Bardiani CSF Faizanè between Slovenia and Belgium. After the excellent performances of the last stages, a transition day for the #Greenteam, with both of today’s stages destined for pure sprinters.
In Belgium, Mark Cavendish wins the sprint over Tim Merlier, 16th place for Filippo Fiorelli of Bardiani CSF Faizanè. The Sicilian athlete always present in the stage finals, especially the most demanding and complicated ones, is also the best Italian in the general classification with the 19th place at 2:07 from the winner Remco Evenepoel.
In Slovenia the winner of the day is Phil Bahuaus of the Bahrain team and 16th place for the young sprinter Enrico Zanoncello of Bardiani CSF Faizanè. The most important result, however, comes from the general classification where Giovanni Carboni, by virtue of his excellent performances in the previous stages, maintains the eighth final position in the general classification.
