BARDIANI CSF FAIZANÈ: DAVIDE GABBURO AGAIN CLOSE TO THE STAGE VICTORY AT GIRO D’ITALIA. FINAL 4TH IN TREVISO.

The breakaway surprises the sprinters who waste the last chance of this Giro d'Italia. Bardiani CSF Faizanè, on the other hand, does not let himself be caught unprepared with Davide Gabburo once again good at be inside the right breakaway and finishing fourth on the finish line in Treviso, after the podium always reached by a breakaway in Naples. Fourth top 10 of the team in this Giro d'Italia.

Fourth place for Davide Gabburo in the 18th stage of the Giro d’Italia, arriving in Treviso. A stage that should have been the last finish-line of the Corsa Rosa for sprinters, but the 4 riders in the front of the race impose a frenzied pace and surprise everyone. Among them Davide Gabburo good at hitting the right attempt once again and reaching the finish line to fight for the stage victory.

These are the words of Davide Gabburo after the finish line: “Since the race meeting of this morning our Sports Directors Roberto Reverberi told us to be very careful to hit the breakaway, even though we had Sacha Modolo for the sprint, because the arrival in the sprint was not like that sure. It was the last chance for sprinters, but after 3 weeks the legs feel fatigue for everyone. Furthermore, we managed well before the front, then from Ca del Poggio we kept a very high speed giving us regular changes until the final. Unfortunately, I don’t have explosiveness peaks like my competitors of the breakaway and I finished in fourth place. Another regret after Naples, if on the one hand I think I rode a great Giro, on the other I know they were very important opportunities. Finally, as a team we alternated perfectly to hit the important leaks. Zana and Covili were super in the uphill stages, I am happy to have hit important escapes like this one, like Naples but also like the arrival of Genoa.”
