On the occasion of the great start of the Giro d'Italia from Turin, Giovanni Visconti and Umberto Marengo visited the company headquarters in Briko, a brand of the BasicNet group and official sponsor for the technical supply of race helmets and eyewear.

An official visit to the Briko Headquarter, technical discussions,interviews. Giovanni Visconti and Umberto Marengo, two of the 8 riders who will be at the start of the next Giro d’Italia with the jersey of Bardiani CSF Faizanè team, spent a pleasant morning in Turin discovering what is a consolidated partner of the #GreenTeam, before regularly perform covid swabs and enter the team bubble for the Giro d’Italia. Briko, a brand of the BasicNet group, is in fact the official helmet and eyewear supplier of the Bardiani CSF Faizanè team and has its headquarters in the city of Turin, hosting also the great start of the Giro d’Italia on 8 May 2021. In view of the Great start of the Corsa Rosa the team leader, Giovanni Visconti, together with the “home” riders, Umberto Marengo from Turin, went to discover the world of Briko and BasicNet.

Starting from this Saturday 8th of May you could watch the Bardiani CSF Faizanè riders, on the roads of the Giro d’Italia, wearing the helmet Quasar and the Starlight sunglasses, both top products of the Briko’s range. Coming soon for all the fans also a special content that will be published on Briko social media channels and on the team Bardiani CSF Faizanè profiles.


The Quasar helmet, among top of the Briko range, is characterized by a low aerodynamic resistance. The different ventilation holes and the internal channels allow the rapid dissipation of heat and humidity, improving performance without neglecting safety. In fact the upper area is reinforced with an internal structure in Nylon ST 801 which increases the protection against impacts. Quasar is built with a Full molding technology to create a total polycarbonate coating: upper shell, base ring, back shell are joined to the polystyrene inner shell ensuring better shock absorption. It has a removable and washable inner padding and an insect net.


The Starlight sunglasses are the lightest one of the Briko range. The goal for this model was to create the simplest eyewear possible. Make it as easy as possible to change lenses, reduce weight as much as possible, offer the widest field of vision. Thus, was born Starlight 3 Lenti, a Rimless model equipped with an exclusive quick-release lens mechanism to allow maximum ease of use, silicone nose pads adjustable in 3 positions, anti-slip rubber temple tips. The wide lens with an ergonomic shape allows an incomparable vision both superior and perimeter, not blocking your view in any direction. This model included three OLens Sun by Briko, the first mirrored in category 3 to protect from sunlight, the second in category 1 and yellow in the most adverse weather conditions and the third, clear category 0 to allow you to run too at night.
