BARDIANI CSF FAIZANÈ: THIRD PLACE OF FILIPPO FIORELLI IN THE FIRST STAGE OF THE ISTRIAN TROPHY.

From the finish-line in Porec, at the end of the first stage of the Istrian Spring Trophy, for the Bardiani CSF Faizanè the balance is a podium of Filippo Fiorelli and the KOM jersey on Daniel Savini‘s shoulders.
We are in Croatia, but the climate and temperatures are the one typical of the great northern races. 11 degrees and heavy rain characterized the first leg of the Istrian Trophy from Funtana to Porec. The riders of Bardiani CSF Faizanè immediately manage to fit into the important action of the day with Daniel Savini, who first conquers the GPM of the day and then tries to resist the return of the group behind him, being reabsorbed after more than 100km of breakaway, just one km away from the finish-line. So the group has sprinted, broken in the final by a fall about 2km from the finish line, in which Filippo Fiorelli tries again, arriving at the finish line almost paired with Filippo Fortin and Daniel Auer. A photo-finish victory decided by a few hundredths of a second and a good podium for Filippo Fiorelli.
Good performance by the team that interpreted the race in the best way, playing their chances both in the breakaway of the day and in the sprint. This weekend the other two stages of the Istrian Spring Trophy.
