The 2023 edition of the Trofeo Matteotti was intense, with an initial breakaway of two riders. Chasing them was a small group of three, including Alessio Nieri, who was caught by the peloton after 50km. Four riders from the Green Project Bardiani-CSF Faizané team remained in the leading group to support Filippo Fiorelli for the sprint. At the finish line in Pescara, Sjoerd Bax of UAE Team Emirates emerged as the winner. Today’s race can be watched on Rai Sport in delayed broadcast starting from 18:40.
