GREEN PROJECT BARDIANI-CSF FAIZANÈ: 6TH PLACE FOR LUCA COLNAGHI IN THE LAST STAGE OF TOUR DE SLOVAQUIE.
6th position for Luca Colnaghi. In this Tour de Slovaquie, two Top 10 finishes and one podium.
In this last stage, the 183.5km Hlohovec to Púchov, won by Asgreen, Luca Colnaghi secured another impressive placement, finishing the race in 6th position. This marks the rider from Lombardy’s second top-10 finish, in addition to the podium achieved in yesterday’s stage. A very commendable performance for the #greenteam sprinter, showcasing consistent results this season. Luca Colnaghi maintained a strong position with 2km to go on a challenging circuit, but due to the numerical superiority of the Soudal Quick Step team, he faced challenges in the final sprint.
Colnaghi’s statement: “I am quite satisfied with the race I did, as the course was very suitable for my characteristics. Unfortunately, the decisive move for the victory that I care so much about did not materialize. I was in a good position towards the end today, but the Soudal Quick Step riders had a clear numerical advantage. Also, considering the many corners on the course, they played strategically. I tried to position myself well in the corners, but unfortunately things did not unfold as I had hoped. Nevertheless, taking everything into account, I’m still content.”
