A placing that crowns a good start to the season for the #greenteam. 4th Martinelli on the uphill finish of Mirador d'Es Colomer. A tough race marked by rain and cold weather.

The first 35 kilometers of the race, characterized by an initial circuit in the starting town of Andratx to be repeated three times, thus ended with a compact group situation. Race marked by several breakaways and sprints and a course made treacherous by the rain.

He holds on until the end on the final climb the very young Alessio Martinelli, class of 2001, who comes close to the podium in this third race of the Mallorca challenge, the first Italian in the finishing order, holds on and remains in the chasing group of Kobe Goossens, 4th place finish for the young Italian rider.

Alessio Martinelli’s statements: “I did a great race and a great result, I am very happy to be in front with these great champions, something that makes me very happy and repays the work done during the winter preparation. I hung in there and they pulled the great teams, on the last climb I tried to give it my all, unfortunately I didn’t reach the podium but it was a great emotion to be in front in a race of this level, it confirms the good leg and the work I’m doing, I try to stay focused for the next races and above all to have fun on the bike.”
