GREEN PROJECT BARDIANI-CSF FAIZANÈ: CZECH TOUR, ZOCCARATO BRINGS HOME POLKA-DOT JERSEY. SIXTH COVILI IN OVERALL. FANTASTIC PINARELLO IN FRANCE, FIFTH STAGE PLACE AND SIXTH OVERALL.

Zoccarato wins his third GPM jersey of 2023. At the Tour Alsace, a very young Alessandro Pinarello secures a fifth-place finish, earning him sixth place overall.

This morning, before the start of the last stage of the Czech Tour, Staune Mittet retired, leaving the polka dot jersey on the shoulders of Samuele Zoccarato.

The rider from Veneto defended it until the very end, winning his third climbers’ classification of the 2023 season. In the final, the riders faced the cobbled circuit made slippery by the rain. Luca Covili tried to keep the wheel of the few men left in the lead, finishing the race in 15th position and securing 6th place in the final classification, just as he did in 2021.

There was a remarkable performance from the very young Alessandro Pinarello at the Tour Alsace. The rider from the #greenteam, born in 2003, shared how the fifth and last stage of the French race unfolded: “Today was a bit of a strange stage because, initially, the breakaway went away. At around minus 45km, there was a barrage that allowed teams to reorganize for a second breakaway; it was a chaotic stage, in short. On the last climb, we pushed hard, and I received a lot of help from Scalco. Twelve of us were left to compete for the stage, and the first three attacked towards the end of the climb. From our group, Segaert went in pursuit. In the bunch sprint, I emerged victorious. I am thrilled with this result, and I aim to continue on this path and improve even more.”

At Alsace, the team secured an impressive four placings in the top ten, two of which were in the Top 5. Conforti achieved 4th place in the second stage, and Pinarello achieved a notable result in this stage.
