The #GreenTeam achieves two Top 10 finishes in France and Denmark.
The second stage of the Tour du Limousin, stretching from Excideuil to Trélissac (185.6km), concludes as predicted with a sprint. After reeling in the day’s breakaways, the peloton gears up for the sprint. Filippo Fiorelli secures 8th place, while the Roman rider Martin Marcellusi takes 15th place. The day’s victor is Luca Mozzato (Arkea Samsic), and the overall leader remains Romain Grègoire of Groupama FDJ.
Meanwhile, the second stage of the Postnord Danmark Rundt, a 163.6-kilometer route from Kjellerup to Silkeborg, also reaches its end. Green Project Bardiani-CSF Faizanè leaves a mark on the finale, as Luca Colnaghi courageously attacks with 4km to go, though his attempt is absorbed by the peloton. In the ensuing sprint, Filippo Magli secures 10th place, while the day’s champion is Fabio Jakobsen of Soudal – Quick Step.
