GREEN PROJECT BARDIANI-CSF FAIZANÈ WELCOMES FILIPPO TURCONI, CLASS OF 2005, SIGNS A FOUR-YEAR CONTRACT UNTIL 2027.
A very young rider is joining the Green Project Bardiani-CSF Faizanè team roster: Filippo Turconi, winner of four races in 2023, has signed a four-year contract.
Filippo Turconi is one of the young talents in Italian cycling. The rider, based in Lombardy and just 17 years old, comes from Bustese Olonia cycling team. He has achieved remarkable results this season, securing four victories. This year, he triumphed in the GP Città di Cantù and the GP Liberazione di Massa, both held in April. In May, he achieved success at the Piccola Tre Valli Varesine, followed by a victory in the first stage of the Giro della Valdera in June.
In his own words, “ I am thrilled to debut next year with Green Project Bardiani-CSF Faizanè, a historic team associated with the Reverberi family. About 30 years ago, my uncle Stefano Zanini also made his debut with this team when it was named Italbonifica-Navigare. My uncle passed on this tremendous passion to me. Naturally, it was a surprise to be chosen by such a significant professional team. In the upcoming seasons, I anticipate gaining valuable experience and maturing, following the footsteps of my future teammates. I am eagerly anticipating the opportunity to get to know them better. Coming off a successful year with four wins, including the GP Liberazione di Massa, the Piccola Tre Valli Varesine, a stage in the Giro della Valdera, and the GP Città di Cantù, I consider myself a rider who relishes challenging races. I am counting down the days until the start of this new adventure, and I extend my gratitude to Bustese Olonia, a team that has consistently supported me and enabled me to take this momentous leap forward.“
