Domenico Pozzovivo is now officially a rider for the VF Group Bardiani-CSF Faizanè team. The Italian rider has inked a one-year contract and will conclude his career with the team that propelled him into professional cycling 19 years ago. Pozzovivo, with his wealth of experience, is expected to play a pivotal role in mentoring the younger members of the team.
Roberto Reverberi, the team manager, expressed, “Pozzovivo will be invaluable in guiding our young riders; he sets an example and provides guidance. I vividly recall the excitement of his victories during his breakthrough year in 2012 when he clinched 4 races. We place our trust in one of the most professional individuals I’ve ever encountered. He continues to embody exceptional values and demonstrates his ability to compete at the highest echelons of the sport. We are delighted and proud to offer him the opportunity to conclude his career where it all began.”
Pozzovivo shared his thoughts, stating, “It feels like a script from a movie, but the return to the team that launched my professional career 19 years ago has finally come to fruition. Alongside the inevitable emotions, I am immensely motivated to share my experience with a team that prioritizes and nurtures the development of young talents, a goal I believe I can contribute to significantly, driven by my desire to compete at the highest levels despite my age.
