The Italian climber Luca Covili managed his energy well in this third stage of the Challenge Mallorca, keeping up with the pace of the chasing group of the best riders on the long final climb of Coll de Puig Major, which, as expected, was approached by the now regrouped peloton. Within just a few meters, the group disintegrated to less than 20 riders, mainly due to the forcing of UAE and Bora-hansgrohe. The winner is the Belgian Van Eetvelt, Covili will cross the finish line in 15th position.
