VF GROUP BARDIANI-CSF FAIZANÈ: SECOND PLACE FOR ALESSANDRO PINARELLO AT THE TROFEO PIVA.
The Italian rider of VF Group Bardiani-CSF Faizanè secures the second step of the podium at the Trofeo Piva.
Alessandro Pinarello solo conquers the second position at the Trofeo Piva. Today, the young riders of VF Group Bardiani-CSF Faizanè were the great protagonists: at the first passage on San Vigilio, Matteo Scalco attempted an attack, joining the leading duo from General Store at -20km. On the last lap at Combai, a group of 11 riders formed, including the duo Scalco and Pinarello. It was Pinarello himself who soloed to the second position behind Pavel Novak.
His statements: “I am happy with the second place, I raced in my home region and was in the spotlight, I really wanted to perform well today. The race was quite challenging, in the finale, the group took a wrong turn, I noticed it immediately and fortunately gained some meters which proved to be crucial. Novak wasn’t unbeatable, but unfortunately, we hesitated a bit behind. However, we are on the right path, always present and combative, we raced united, we must continue like this.”
