On Saturday, March 16th, the VF Group Bardiani-CSF Faizanè will participate in the Milano-Sanremo, one of the 5 monuments of international cycling and one of the most important events of the season. Sports directors Roberto Reverberi and Mirko Rossato have selected the 7 athletes who will face the spring classic.
Experienced Alessandro Tonelli will be at the start, having been in the breakaway for 5 editions in a row at the Milano-Sanremo. Davide Gabburo will participate for the third time, another experienced rider serving the team. Among the selected riders are also several fast wheels like Enrico Zanoncello, participating in the Classicissima for the first time. It will also be the first time for the young Valtellinese Alessio Martinelli. Martin Marcellusi, who recently finished in the Top 10 at the Milano-Torino, is also present. Completing the lineup are Filippo Magli and Samuele Zoccarato, the latter having been in the breakaway in the previous edition.
